Created by "Dabiri" and believed to be the first NFT project to open source its asset generation code, NFTBirds has since its conception helped hundreds of projects launch their own collections. As of January 2022 roughly 120 collections have been minted using the NFTBirds code as their basis. These include the Thugbirdz project on Solana which used the artwork from NFTBirds as their inspiration and has gone on to acheive an incredible level of success itself. One of the main goals of NFTBirds is to plant trees around the world. Part of the proceeds of the project are put into this with over 7000 trees planted directly by it since launch. Community members have also been inspired to join in, with over 5000 trees planted by NFTBirds collectors.
